Patience. Commitment. Motivation. Means. Support.
Those five words are the keys to any successful fitness journey, but that’s because they’re the five things holding most of us back from achieving our goals – or, as I call them, the five major barriers to progress.
Don’t get me wrong – there are dozens of other reasons people struggle to maintain a regular exercise routine. Technique. Form. Confidence. Setting unrealistic goals and expectations. Boredom. Injuries. Access to the right equipment. Familiarity with quality exercises.
I mean, the list goes on…
So, how can we overcome these barriers?
The easy answer is to hire a personal trainer, nutrition coach, or both – depending on your needs. The problem with that answer is it usually opens the door to a whole new world of barriers.
Too expensive. Lack of trust. Fear of 1-on-1 interactions. The intimidation factor. Scheduling. Inability to communicate. Lack of accountability. And, of course, difficulty finding the right coach or trainer.
Don’t worry, Brooklyn – PhysioRX is changing the game.
The truth is most personal trainers today don’t have the depth of knowledge to customize a workout plan to each client’s needs. As a result, we’re seeing an influx of cookie-cutter solutions that lack science and, to be frank, don’t produce results. It’s a harsh reality, but a reality nonetheless.
Well, maybe for some of us, but that’s not the PhysioRX way. From losing weight to gaining strength, recovering from injury, and simply staying healthy so you can live a long and happy life, our custom workout plans and nutritional advice are tailor-made to get you where you want to be in life.
Here’s how…
Most people think there are two types of personal trainers (those who offer their services in person, and those who coach you over the internet), but what if we told you there was a third type – a hybrid type?
Well, you better believe it – because that’s exactly what we are!
Our masterful blend of in-person sessions and virtual coaching increases accountability while helping our clients gain independence and freedom with their workout routine – you won’t be disappointed!
Meeting with you face-to-face is important on numerous fronts. For starters, it allows us to correct your form and technique, which is crucial to avoiding injury and maximizing results. Of course, it also allows us to get to know you on a more personal level – helping us better attend to your fitness needs.
Most personal trainers see their clients once or twice during the week, but their guidance often ends there. At PhysioRX, we like to do things differently.
Our clients all have access to a mobile app – created by us – that gives them real-time access to workout plans, nutritional advice, motivation, accountability, and so much more.
You’ll meet with your coach as often as you’d like, but your training doesn’t stop there – it travels with you wherever you go! Whether you’re on a business trip, at home, on vacation, or on a lunch break – just open the app, and we’ll be there!
Earlier in this blog post, we discussed the various barriers people face when looking for a new personal trainer – two of which were the fear and intimidation factor of 1-on-1 interactions with a fitness coach.
If this sounds like you, I have both good and bad news – but I also have a solution.
The good news is most gyms and some trainers offer group fitness classes to help people feel more comfortable while working out. The bad news is most of these fitness classes don’t always work.
That’s because the trainer has everyone following a similar, cookie-cutter, mass-produced workout that, while it may work for some, doesn’t work for everyone. It’s more interactive, but less beneficial.
Don’t worry – we’re changing the game there, too.
At PhysioRX, we offer small group personal training sessions for those who enjoy the social aspect of working out with others – whether it be family members, friends, or co-workers.
What makes us different is that we create a personalized workout plan for each and every person in the group – meaning no more mass-produced workouts and no more cookie-cutter solutions.
We live in a world where fad diets and trendy lose-weight-quick schemes are becoming a normal way of life. Unfortunately, these diets and programs don’t solve the root of the problem – and here come those barriers again.
Extreme restrictions. Cutting out favorite foods. Nutrient deficiencies. Lack of habitual changes. Excessive cravings. Unnecessary stress.
Our clients shouldn’t have to go through any of that – and they don’t.
At PhysioRX, we’ll set you up with an experienced nutrition coach to help you monitor your calorie intake, macro targets, weight, and other progress measures – all of which are done in our handy-dandy mobile app, which is equipped with a food database and barcode scanner to easily track your eating habits.
Your nutrition coach is there to help you find a balance between eating smarter and eating comfortably. Over time, you’ll learn how to better care for your body, and understand what it needs to function at full tilt.
Are you ready to tackle weight loss like a pro? Do you want to achieve a new PR on the bench press? Have you recently suffered an injury that’s keeping you from the gym?
